Meet Jim and Robin Harper

As your hosts for this conference, we want to welcome you!

We are simply a local couple who, by not following God’s design for marriage, have personally learned how important it is to keep investing in your marriage. We’re grateful for the restoration Christ has brought to our relationship.

Because of this renewal, we are committed to challenge other couples in the tri-state area to make an intentional yearly investment in their marriages. We invite you to join us in discovering how to build your marriage on a firm foundation through this video series.

THE EXPERIENCE

More Than a Marriage Conference

Enjoy an intimate, safe atmosphere with comfortable seating, engaging presentations, meaningful conversations, great food, and time to really focus on one another, all in a lovely, local setting.

POWERFUL TESTIMONIES OF HEALED & STRONGER MARRIAGES

Even the most broken marriages can be healed and made whole and strong through Christ’s love.

Consciously making time to focus on our marriage creates a strong foundation that impacts everything it touches.

We praise God for this yearly opportunity to be intentional together about our relationship.  God is doing miracles in our family!

The Visionary Marriage series is a comprehensive resource for Christian couples looking to deepen their understanding of their purpose and mission as a married couple.

Created by Dr. Rob Rienow and Amy Rienow, the series includes 5 Bible-driven video sessions that focus on the biblical foundation for marriage, communication, sexuality, and conflict resolution, and provides guidance on how to apply these principles to couples’ own lives. The sessions are designed to be beneficial for both newly engaged and long-time married couples as they strive to grow in their relationships with God and with each other.

The five sessions in the series are: The Power of Forgiveness, God’s Mission for Husbands, God’s Mission for Wives, Raising Godly Children, and Generations & the Kingdom of God. Each session is approximately 40 minutes long and provides a biblical perspective on various aspects of marriage and family life, with the ultimate goal of encouraging couples to embrace a shared mission and purpose for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.

Dr. Rob Rienow – Founder, Speaker & Author

Our session will utilize a video presentation of ‘Visionary Marriage’ by Dr. Rienow.

Rob married his wife Amy in 1994, and together they have been blessed with seven children and four grandchildren. Rob believes his most important ministry is loving his wife and leading the generations of their family to know and love God. His mother came to Christ shortly after he was born, introducing him to Jesus at an early age. When Rob’s parents divorced during his high school years, God used that painful season to give him a deep compassion for young people and families walking through dark times.

In 2004, while serving as a youth pastor, Rob experienced a profound turning point. God brought him to a place of deep repentance as he realized he was faithfully discipling other people’s children while neglecting the spiritual leadership of his own family. Though active as a leader in the church, he had been passive at home. During this season, God turned Rob’s heart toward his wife and children, laying the foundation for what would become Visionary Family Ministries. Together, Rob and Amy launched the ministry with a clear mission: helping families around the world follow Jesus.

With more than 30 years of experience as a pastor, church planter, and family ministry leader, Rob’s passion is to bring hope from God’s Word to every family. He is the author of several books, including Visionary Parenting, Visionary Marriage, Healing Family Relationships, and Visionary Church.

God’s Instructions for a Great Marriage (Ephesians 5:22-33, NIV)

22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.

24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her;

26 that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless.

28 So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself;

29 for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,

30 because we are members of His body.

31 For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.

32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let each individual among you also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see to it that she respect her husband.
